Yup, Len just got her ass kicked. Again, part of the comic I'll probably never finish. Though so far I'm doing much better then I have with many comics I've started and abandoned. Still, the drawing is fun but as soon as I ink it, I'll be better able to see the mistakes and hate every bit of it. Too hard on myself? Maybe. But then again, how else can one grow?

Unfinished comic
Today's sketch comes to you from some weird urge I had to draw Len again. I was half heartedly thinking I should go back to my Never comic, but it's just not going to happen. I can't stand what I'd done already, and I actually lost most of the pages, making it almost impossible for me to continue on where I left off. If I ever brought Len back in comic form, it would most likely be in in an all new story. That being said, I have no plans on doing a comic again any time soon. I don't have the confidence for a project like that.

Lego
I've had an urge to play with my Lego the past couple of days. Yeah, I'm totally mature. But since my collection is in storage right now, I have to satisfy myself with some sketching. Not quite as fun, but it will do for now.

Kids and magic
Part of being able to draw picture books is the ability to draw children. Along with animals, this isn't something I've spent a lot of time on, since I've mostly been focused on my comics where everyone is in their late teens or older. This also is an initial sketch for a story idea I have.

Sketching Again!
It's been a while. Too long, really. But I have an opportunity to illustrate a children's book, so it's time to start drawing again. I've been trying to do a bit of sketching every day, starting off with about an hour of copying other people's work to warm up, and then moving on to my own work. Here are a few of the resulting drawings.
